I bought boxes of flower and fern bulbs last spring and didn't get to plant them - Are they still good now?

I kept them in the garage in their original breathable bag/box. They went through all of last summer and winter in the garage. I know they are not wet or moldy, pretty much dry and look normal I guess - did not sprout in the bags.

So, they were dormant out of the ground all of last year. Should I try to plant them or is it a waste of time? There are alot and its a big job.

Thanks!

yes! Give them a try! If you want to know 1st if they are alive %26amp; will grow; you can plant them all inside 1st; watch, %26amp; then do it; but it sounds like 2 much work for me! Plant them %26amp; enjoy them! Unless they are moldy, squishy, or flat dried up completely to a pulp, plant, water %26amp; wish them well! Wow, what a beautiful yard you will have this summer!
Reply:IIt depends on a couple of things.

What kind of bulbs are they? Spring or summer flowering? If they're Spring flowering, it's a little late in the northern hemisphere but if they're summer flowering planting them now would be fine. If you live in the Southern hemisphere planting now is ideal.

Either way you are better to get them in the ground. Even if you don't get flowers this Spring, you will next season !!
Reply:I agree with the two answers below. If they appear to be in good condition, plant them, feed them, water them and enjoy the results. I've been in a similar situation in the past and this has worked.
Reply:I would try planting them and see what happens.
