A fowering almond flowered bautifully in the spring?

and then just turned brown, wouldn't leaf out and now looks dead. What went wrong ? Sudden intense humidity? I don't see any bugs or signs of disease. Seems other more sensitive trees have done the same. ???????

Well, it will not tolerate much dryness and it will not tolerate salt spray from coastal conditions. It also can get a bacteria and a fungus - both of which will kill the leaves. Mildew will make the leaves turn white-ish and curl up and die. It can also succumb to verticulum wilt which will kill the plant.

If it was really humid, I am expecting it was the fungus that got it. Maybe if that was the case, you could treat it with a fungicide, fertilize it and see if it recovers. If it was verticulum wilt, it will not recover, though. It is a delicate plant and can perish easily. It also will not survive hot summers in places that are zone 7 or hotter, so you just may be too far South to have it survive.
