Why does a flower bloom in spring? What is actually a flower to a tree?

A flower is the reproductive structure found in flowering plants (plants of the division Magnoliophyta, also called sperms). The flower structure contains the plant's organs, and its function is to produce seeds through reproduction. For the higher plants, seeds are the next generation, and serve as the primary means by which individuals of a species are dispersed across the landscape. After fertilization, portions of the flower develop into a fruit containing the seeds.

The function of a flower is to mediate the union of male and female gametes. The process is termed pollination. Many flowers are dependent upon the wind to move pollen between flowers of the same species. Others rely on animals (especially insects) to accomplish this feat. The period of time during which this process can take place (the flower is fully expanded and functional) is called anthesis.

Flowers bloom in spring because there is enough light and warmth and food available to them.

The flower reacts to the temperature and amount of sunlight that it is recieving and blooms in order for it to reproduce.

This is something that had evolved because of evolution, a tree wouldn't fare very well if it's flowers bloomed in the dead of a blizzard
